Here and Now: November 2018

15 November 2018
Hello out there!

I've obviously been a little quiet in this space the last few weeks. Lots of decluttering, packing, sorting, ordering, cleaning and craziness.

We move out of our rental this Saturday and so it's pretty hectic right now. Today I've dropped the kiddos off at their cousin's for a play so I can have some focused time at home. You know, several hours strung together where I don't have to grab snacks, wipe bums or answer to 'mumma'.

BUT before I do that I'm taking a little 'me' space. I've stopped at a cafe (away from the moving chaos) and am enjoying an iced coffee and taking this opportunity to join in with the Here & Now link up so I can reconnect and also reflect.

Loving // getting rid of things!! I oscillate between keeping everything 'just in case' and needing to purge it all. I'm trying to find a middle ground...but I am loving getting rid of things at the moment. Also loving spring rain.

Eating // spring garden goodies - broad beans, chard and asparagus (from a friend's garden). Plus lots of snacks as I attempt to keep fueled around all the chaos.

Drinking // a couple of cold coffees a day, the occasional kombucha and wine (can't send it all to storage!!).

Feeling // overall better than I thought. Normally moving and sorting stresses me out big time, but I'm trying to keep up with a bit of daily self care and keep it manageable. So far, so good.

Making // a mess!

Thinking // of way too many things. But also thinking that once this week is done and we hand over our rental keys the amount of 'to do' thinking will drop down exponentially and I can shift gears to thinking about all the things we'll be getting up to on our trip.

Dreaming // of never having to move house again! Oh, and adventures around Australia.

What's happening in your neck of the woods? Feel free to share in the comments or link up with the lovely Sarah and others around the world at Say Little Hen.

I'm hoping to be back in this space a little more regularly from next week on. Catch up with you then x
