I remember doing a uni placement in tweed heads over winter and was so happy to be swanning about in light cotton shirts. This is our first Canberra winter for 7 years so I'll be feeling the cold this year I think - nothing some thermals wont fix!<br />Yes, a stocked freezer is kind of like a food security blanket. My favourite though is opening up the pantry and just peeking at all the colourful jars of produce ready to see us through until next spring. xGrow Gather Enjoyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05069999391136930106noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-239453686450736506.post-27719994396998536442018-04-20T13:08:15.738+10:002018-04-20T13:08:15.738+10:00Hi Ezgi, thanks for popping over from the link up ...Hi Ezgi, thanks for popping over from the link up and taking the time to comment :)Grow Gather Enjoyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05069999391136930106noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-239453686450736506.post-33020187583526435092018-04-20T03:41:41.633+10:002018-04-20T03:41:41.633+10:00I love autumn! I'm actually planning a little chilli post. This year I made sweet chilli sauce, dried some and tried out pickling them. I had some pickled jalapenos on a burrito recently that a friend made and they were really delicious so I was inspired to give this a go. If the harvest overwhelms me I often pop them in a bag in the freezer to put into stews/curries as I need or to turn into preserves when I have the time. Oh, another favourite is chilli jam - delicious on toasted sandwiches or on top of poached eggs!Grow Gather Enjoyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05069999391136930106noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-239453686450736506.post-83296420664490633992018-04-18T13:36:18.108+10:002018-04-18T13:36:18.108+10:00Yes, warming foods and drinks make the cold weathe...Yes, warming foods and drinks make the cold weather much more enjoyable, that's for sure.Grow Gather Enjoyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05069999391136930106noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-239453686450736506.post-1412005582378714412018-04-17T22:35:10.920+10:002018-04-17T22:35:10.920+10:00Happy Birthday Laura!
