I use it in cooking too- I often use it instead of honey or syrup in granola.Hazelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05388175819512214533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-239453686450736506.post-35554205344301430722018-06-06T19:49:08.297+10:002018-06-06T19:49:08.297+10:00I've never had pineapple jam Chris, we don'...I've never had pineapple jam Chris, we don't get much in the way of 'excess' pineapples down here in the colder climes.
The muesli balls are delicious with marmalade, in fact I think it's my favourite variation. Do you still eat oats? You could give it a try and replace the flour with ground up oats or a flour that is suitable for you.
Hope the family enjoys them .
Cheers,
LauraGrow Gather Enjoyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05069999391136930106noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-239453686450736506.post-25437181027877979592018-06-06T19:46:04.361+10:002018-06-06T19:46:04.361+10:00I've never tried. Or maybe add a bit extra jam to keep them a little softer and then score before cooking - let me know how it goes if you give it a try. At least if it doesn't work out you can just call it granola and crumble it up in a jar!!Grow Gather Enjoyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05069999391136930106noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-239453686450736506.post-49489024064530484162018-06-06T12:45:32.513+10:002018-06-06T12:45:32.513+10:00I must confess, Laura. That's quite original, as well. It all came undone, when I had to give up bread though. I still make small batches for my family to enjoy.

This recipe looks so simple to make, and easy to grab a snack on the run. So I'll give it a try, for my family. :)Chris https://www.blogger.com/profile/13715819899708384147noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-239453686450736506.post-38716654777136452852018-06-05T16:42:25.251+10:002018-06-05T16:42:25.251+10:00A great idea, do you think they would work as a ba...A great idea, do you think they would work as a bar?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-239453686450736506.post-81920189211383886542018-06-05T14:41:19.205+10:002018-06-05T14:41:19.205+10:00I hope you enjoy them Sally. I reckon you could nail it Nil :)
In Australia many jam makers simply 'hot pack' jams into sterilised jars rather than using a canning process - could be a first step into the land of preserves?Grow Gather Enjoyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05069999391136930106noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-239453686450736506.post-90916491742664061112018-06-05T14:37:09.202+10:002018-06-05T14:37:09.202+10:00I suppose it's more stewed fruit like without ...I suppose it's more stewed fruit like without the sugar Chel. There are always a few old jars of jam lurking at the back of the shelves, which need using up. Muesli balls will be next!Jembella Farmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07646075804716647311noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-239453686450736506.post-73463024366864857302018-06-05T11:18:12.358+10:002018-06-05T11:18:12.358+10:00It's good to have a break once in a while. :) ...It's good to have a break once in a while. :) I hope you had a relaxing weekend.

Sometimes I make strawberry jam. It's just strawberries, sugar and lemon juice and I only make one jar because I don't know how to bottle them properly.
